In the laboratory forest machinery operation skills can be gained by 7-8 persons at a time.  It has two the most advanced forwarder and harvester simulators.

An especially efficient is forwarder-harvester simulator ORYX produced by Finnish and Japanese companies, which cost almost 0.5 mill. Lt. There are only 30 simulators of this kind in the world. Six workplaces in the laboratory are equiped with installed Canadian computer program ROTNER, providing initial skills for further operation of the simulators. Practical tasks can be performed by 7-8 students at a time.
